our 1st trip out of shanghai is to SUZHOU! the train ticket is cheap man! RMB 26 only! anyway, my manicure is nice right.. haha! 1st time doing it.. so cheap here! only RMB15 leh! bu try bai bu try!
the focus of this photo is not liwen k.. its the seats.. hahaha! looks comfy rite.. so worthwhile!
this is xueyun, she must be busy sms-ing her dear dear..

traveling at 200km/hr
all prepared with tibits (since we are from the monster club),
finally, we reached SuZhou in 2hrs time!
this is the kind of trees and river we see in suzhou.. looks eerie with the green lighting, but it actually looks very nice!
walked around aimlessly, bought a crepe, took photo with the young boss..

until around 12midnite, we head for our "hotel" and....

tadaa~~ this is our room..
our "beds" for the night..
the setting looks familiar right.. yup, its a KTV! hahaha in order to save money from staying in hotel and also to try out the ktv in suzhou, we planned to sing the whole night.. hahaha i noe it sounds crazy, but c'mon! it's so freaking cheap! only cost us less than RMB40 per person (S$8) inclusive of a bottle of drink each and chips too! we sang til 6am if i remember correctly.. gd deal right..

xueyun fell asleep at 3am+ while liwen and i chiong all the way.. obviously, we were seh-ed.. it was stil so early that there was hardly any cars on the streets..
we decided that we needed a bed to sleep on badly so we took a cab to a nearby youth hostel but it's in the middle of a looooooooong stretch of pathway which the cab couldnt drive in so we walked in.. superb scenery! this is exactly wad i like.. jus like Venice, but the eastern version.. as the saying goes, "bo he heh ma hou" (no fish, prawns also not bad).. no money go europe tour.. so see see the eastern version oso not bad.. haha
sorry coco, i will try to slim down abit.. by the way, coco is liwen cos her name is koh liwen, machiam coco li wen.. even thou their figure differ by a lot..

after a very loooooong walk, we reached the hostel and realised it's full! @#$!!@$!$@!# what to do, who ask us to act hero and sing ktv the whole nite.. it's so earli in the morning (around 6am+) that all shops were stil closed...so we jus sat outside the shop and fell asleep til 8am..
then we saw a coffee house opening its door.. and it has superly kooshy sofa shouting at us to sit on them! so we went and asked whether it's opened.. the waiter told us they would be opening in 30min time but still he was nice enough to allow us in.. so we happily settle down and fell aslp!! slept all the way from 8am to 10am+.. WITHOUT ordering any food! hahaha and we overheard the boss telling off the waiter who let us in.. so paiseh.. hahhaa so we had breakfast there even though its not very cheap.. cant possibly leave without ordering any food..

then we proceed on to visit the places of interest in suzhou!

one of the gardens.. i cant remember what's the name.. haha procrastinated too long to blog this entry.. hahaa liwen trying to act ZEN.. this photo looks awkward right.. cant figure out where.. let me tell u.. u seldom see her sitting with both legs closed up right.. well, there's a reason for that.. go ask her urself.. haha! if i say here, she will han tam me..

we were so bored we stole the auntie's broom to take photo with.. hahaha

this is a pagoda that has 8 floors.. we climbed all the way up..

didnt really visit alot of places cux we werent well prepared for it because of SOMEBODY.. haha no la its not easy to plan also.. n anyway, alot of the scenic places look the same to us.. so we went ahead for the must-try "ya ba shen jian"!

reasons for the name:

1) a taxi driver told us it is named ya ba shen jian cos last time the guy who invented this delicious shen jian is a mute

2) another cab driver told us its because the shen jian simply taste so nice that you will "wordless" after u try it..

up to u, which one u wanna believe..

this is really yummy! nicer than xiao yang shen jian! cos the skin is thinner and crispier.. and it's a lil sweeter.. cux suzhou food are almost sweet..

i noe it doesnt look very nice but seriously, it tastes super nice! thanks to the hei bi~

HAHAHA kidding la.. do we look like we eat maggots? mayb lw does la.. haha tt is actually shredded meat.. pork i think.. the pple here likes to shred meat into this kind of shape.. mayb they do this cux if they ran out of pork and happen to see some harmless looking stray cats on the streets like this one...

its hard to noe wad meat you r actually getting when its shredded like this.. sounds scary rite.. but we bought the meat from a supermarket.. so it shld be pork la..

this cod fish is super cheap!!! think its only around SGD2 for 2 slices leh!!!

see!!!! they hav this leh!! s'pore don't have lo! but come to think of it, its not v useful cux its so loud that it will cover the voice of whoever's singing.. but its impt if u r gg ktv w lw.. HAHAHAHA kidding la.. lw can sing well n dance even better.. *my nose grows longer*

and this!!! u can play the clapping and cheering sound after singing to make urself happier!! good rite??

we took a ride on this "cable car-like" capsule through a tunnel.. a boring tunnel.. this ride is only like afew minutes or less n it costs us rmb40 each!!

we pay extra rmb10 each just to see these stupid fish u get to see free of charge at fish shop or liwen's house.. haha! cheat my money!

its already 12+ am.. blogging is so tedious man.. so i guess i just post pictures la..im lazy.. haha

in china, there're lots of interesting signboards everywhere. here's one that is at the entrance of my condo. i dont think singapore has such signboards.

will these birds get electrocuted like those we watch on cartoon?

here's 3 gays on the streets..haha no la.. they are jia lun, yee siang and tze hong acting gay.. maybe they aren't acting.. haha

so, xue yun and i acted as a couple too..

and we knock into each other's head while trying to lean on each other's shoulders.. haha

on the streets, there're many people selling fruits.. the most common ones are watermelons, grapes, peaches, lychees etc.. here's 2 different types of watermelons.. we havent tried them yet but we will try it someday..

below is a photo of a street in Nan Jing Road.. this is where the famous 小羊生煎馆 is!! it doesnt sell lamb meat k.. they sell the delicious 小羊煎包!!! super nice!

see! the queue is sooooooooo long... (yingzhen, can u spot liwen??)

the bao cost only rmb4 for 4 bao!! that means 1 bao is only sgd$0.20!!!! cheap and delicious!!!

then, i saw this interesting signboard.. i think it means "no horning" but we still hear drivers horning every now and then!! the local people fully utilise their horns one lo! they horn at you even when you are not blocking their way..

anyway, there's no such thing as zebra crossing here even though there're white strips and the zebra crossing signboards.. what's worse is that when the traffic light shows the green man, some cars never stop one lo! somemore they will horn at you! ridiculous rite! waste money building traffic lights lo! hahaha

for dinner, we went to oasis cafe which sells Yun Nan's specialities..

hey everyone!! i added the tagboard already! go tag k!!! i noe u all wanna tok to me.. hahaha

anw, let me continue blogging about today. we wanted to go apply for the temporary stay pass but the policeman said they gonna closed soon and they have several more students to settle.. so he told us to come back again at 3pm! i asked him whether we can go earlier not den he say cannot cux they wun be there.. idiot lo.. lidat we will waste half of the day lo..

then, we went nearby for lunch and that's already 4+pm i think.. haha the food is not bad and the smoothie is nice! after liwen's flirting with the smoothie guy, he gave us 3 toast for free!!! yes, FOC! the locals there are not that bad afterall.. hahaha

this is a very disgusting curry rice that shuhui bought for lunch.. looks gross too rite..

after that, we went to the nearest MRT station to take train and meet up with liwen's friends elsewhere.. on our way to the station, this is wad we saw...

see the red signboard in the background? it says no parking and pple still park.. here bo zeng hu wan.. haha

this is a pillar of the mrt railway.. see the pile of shit on the ground? hahaha lw says some of the locals stay there, so tt's why they curse pple for shitting there.. i suggest that they include dog language too, so that the dogs dun shit there.. haha

it says everyone plays a part in keeping the environment clean.. but u see there's rubbish EVERYWHERE..

on the train, i saw something SO FUNNY!!!

nothing much though.. so we went Nan Jing Xi Lu and drank this super duper nice pudding milk tea!! superb!!!! it cost abt sgd1.20.. not v v cheap but its worth it!

then we went to the very famous stall (according to lw's frd) that sells this super yummy xiao long bao that is pan-fried.. lots of soup in it! delicious but i find it abit too saltish but the rest super like it!

omg omg! it's my 1st entry!!! hey friends!!! thanks for admitting u miss me by reading my blog!! hahaha

as u all know, this blog will be about my experience in a country that you all know.. i dun dare to name the country cux i'm afraid that they might sue for for the very "positive" comments about this country..

well, its my 2nd day here.. just set up the internet connection. hmm.. wad should i start with? ok lets start from...........................

Day 1 (23 july)
1.15am: the plane took off from singapore.. was quite excited cux its my 1st time taking SIA. it's quite comfy n the hot towel they gave has a very very nice scent! on the plane, there's lots of turbulence.. but its quite fun cux the shaking of the plane makes me feel like im in the movie (national treasure)! hahahaha

once we landed, xueyun, liwen and i all know that our faces will rot during our stay here.. cux the air is like so foggy that it looks like we are in genting! hahaha

at the airport, we saw 2 ladies quarreling w a man, or rather the ladies were shouting at the man.. haha i heard the ladies here are kind of bad at controlling their temper.. hahaha
